Pack 475 Camping Guide
This guide is here to help new and experienced family’s make sure they have everything they need for an excellent family camping experience. While not all items listed are required, it never hurts to come prepared.
In the interest of being environmentally responsible as a pack, this year we are requiring that all attending bring their own mess kit for meals and drinks. We also ask that all attending bring there own drinking vessels. There will be a wash station to clean used dishes and cups. If you have any questions please contact your den leader.
Camping Equipment
- Tent
- Waterproof ground cloth or plastic sheet
- Sleeping bag, pillow, air mattress or pad
- Cup, bowl, plate, knife, fork, spoon, mesh bag
- Cub Scout uniform
- Poncho or raincoat
- Warm jacket or coat
- Pajamas or sweatshirt, sweatpants
- Durable shoes, shoe laces
- Hat or cap
- Extra socks, shoes, other extra clothing
- Lawn chairs
- Cooler or ice chest
- Head lamp for scouts
Personal Items
- Toothpaste, toothbrush, comb
- Washcloth, towel
- Soap in container
- Toilet paper
- Extra plastic bag or container
First Aid
- First aid kit
- Water bottle
- Flashlight, bulb, batteries
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- Whistle
And the most important thing to bring is a wonderful attitude!
Everyone at family camp has had their first time camping. If you have any questions or need help with anything, please do not hesitate to ask a leader or another parent. We all love to help each other!
